I’m extra fun with caffeine.

Sundays with family are my happiest days.

My perfect morning consists of an early morning sunrise, coffee, and quiet time with Jesus.

I could binge on chocolate, cookies, and “The Office” all night long.

Grease and Mamma Mia are my jam.

My ideal night is sitting around the fire pit and pool with my girlfriends.

My favorite trip has been to the Big Island, Hawaii, but my dream trip is Copenhagen, Denmark.

I want to say I love living out in the country, but I really enjoy picking up a latte at the Starbucks on every corner.

A Note for the Moms Who Make Christmas Magical

[Read time: 2 Minutes]

This is a note for the moms who work and offer profound impact from the small worlds of their own homes.

It’s a small message, but I hope they hear it.

Your Faithful Everyday Work

You’ve spent the year caring for your family—managing laundry pileups, juggling schedules, coordinating birthday parties around nap times, making countless meals for picky eaters and surprise allergies, navigating late nights, early mornings, homework, doctor’s appointments, braces, parent-teacher meetings, cartoons, tears, laughter, and all the moments in between.

Your heart has held that confusing mix of joy and ache— watching your babies grow, become more themselves, and slowly lose the dimples on their hands.

You’ve been there for your husband too—supporting him, encouraging him, praying over him & with him, working alongside him, holding down the fort when he’s away, and creating a cozy home for a soft landing when he returns.

The Rhythm You’ve Set

You’ve set the pace. You’ve been keenly aware that mom sets the tone for the family. You’ve fought for grace, love, forgiveness, and joy even on the most trying of days. Your patience and selflessness is astounding.

And here we are at the beginning of December …

We don’t need to finish strong. Just well. Intentional.

The same way you’ve been all year.

With the world pushing messages of noise, chaos, more, too-high standards, and trends, how easy it is to miss the beauty woven into your mundane work.

“My moment of insight began then, the realization that in the work I joined with my mother and sister I was a keeper of life’s riches. That my oh-so-ordinary work helped weave the extraordinary celebration of Christmas.”

Sarah Clarkson, The Life Giving Home

Enjoy savoring every bit of the Christmas season with your family. May your heart overflow with thankfulness as you reflect back.

For it is your magic touch … It’s the way you stir the cookies, the well-set table you put together, the simple way you light the candle and sit by the tree, it’s the way you tell the story of Jesus in a manger so beautifully … that makes this season so special.

You are the keeper of life’s riches. It’s your ordinary work that weaves the extraordinary celebration of Christmas for your family. Through these simple moments, you are slowly & intentionally leaving behind the most beautiful legacy.

“May you treasure wisely this jeweled, gilded time

And cherish each day as an extra grace.”
