I’m extra fun with caffeine.

Sundays with family are my happiest days.

My perfect morning consists of an early morning sunrise, coffee, and quiet time with Jesus.

I could binge on chocolate, cookies, and “The Office” all night long.

Grease and Mamma Mia are my jam.

My ideal night is sitting around the fire pit and pool with my girlfriends.

My favorite trip has been to the Big Island, Hawaii, but my dream trip is Copenhagen, Denmark.

I want to say I love living out in the country, but I really enjoy picking up a latte at the Starbucks on every corner.

Argitopia Family Photos | Jette Family

I’ve taken the Jette’s family photos so many times that I’m starting to lose count … this was year 5, I think. And I’m so excited to be sharing the Jette’s Argitopia Family photos today! Let’s just say it was another one for the books!

You can see all their past sessions here for a blast from the past … (all but the first one, I wasn’t even blogging when we had their first session! Crazy!)

I’ve told this story many times before, but Marc & Heather are both deaf. When I met them in my high school ASL class, they shared that Heather was battling breast cancer. Little Gabby wasn’t even born yet. It’s crazy to think that I’ve had the honor of photographing their sweet family through all those seasons … both hills and valleys!

I think my jaw almost literally dropped to the ground, when Heather got out of the car with her long, full hair! She is so healthy and doing so well now! Praise Jesus! I couldn’t be happier for them!

And Gallen and Gabby have both grow so much! They are the sweetest kids and so happy and smiley! And now you can see that they are best friends! When they weren’t in the picture they were off playing on the side together looking at the farm and the vines. Heather homeschools them and a few questions about what type of vine it was growing on the fence came up and next thing I knew I peeked over my shoulder from shooting and my mom was showing them the Picture This app. I love it! An impromptu natural science class? We can’t help it, the homeschool in us still creeps out time to time.

It’s interesting because while my ASL is unfortunately getting a little rusty, Gallen and Gabby are able to hear and speak. And it was fun because now they are able to help interperate more too. I absolutely love being able to watch them grow from year to year!

Honestly, I’ve said it before but the language barrier does not slow us down at all, because of how loving and patient the Jette’s are! Love truly supersedes it all!

It turned out to be homecoming and so Argtopia was packed with high schoolers all over! Check out the Lopez’s blog for the full story of just how busy Argtopia was! Funny thing, Marc teaches ASL and so he knew a whole bunch of the highschoolers who were there taking homecoming pictures! So fun!

I’m so excited to share this episode of Behind the Blog! Come behind the scenes with me to shoot the Jette’s Argitopia family photos – two littles, language barrier, & an absolutely PACKED location!

And enjoy scrolling through the Jette’s Argitopia family photos! As always, such a special session and an honor to capture this sweet family another year!
