There is something so special about getting to photograph a family in their own home for newborn photos. The realness of it, the bright colored toys, the silly moments, the quiet moments, the occasional appearance of a burp cloth in the back, reading books on the bed, new baby snuggles … it is perfect. It is how life looks these days and *that* is worth capturing!
Anthony & Lauren brought little Ava home from the hospital just a few days ago and it was such an honor to get to capture some precious newborn photos for them! Ava was just 7 lbs when she was born, so tiny and precious!
This is their second. Little AJ is 20 months and such a sweetheart! He is crazy about all things planes and cars … every time I turned around there was a new plane or car in his hands! It will be exciting to watch AJ and Ava’s little relationship grow!
Everything about their session was perfect! Lauren did such an amazing job decorating Ava’s nursery, it was just darling! Their whole home was just so cozy and inviting! And AJ was such a good sport! I’m not sure taking pictures would be any almost 2 year-olds ideal way to spend their time … but he did great! They turned on a video of fish swimming with spa music for AJ at one point and we had the white noise going for Ava, we all spoke in whispers … I think this might have been my most calming session ever!
Anthony and Lauren are the type of couple that make you feel like you’ve known them forever. Even in the midst of AJ running around and Ava needing attention, they were able to chat. What pros!!!
