I am so excited to be sharing Baby Shearer’s Garden Party Baby Shower today!! Nancy and Bardeau are expecting their first in October … a little boy!! And every little detail of their shower was perfect!
The whole weekend leading up to their shower was POURING rain … crazy storms! Nancy and I were laughing, we both were born and raised in Arizona … and it hardly ever rains! It’s just how it goes, that when you’re planning a big outdoor garden party baby shower, that’s when the heavens open up!
Wouldn’t be a true Garden Party Baby “Shower” if we didn’t get a little wet:
I was amazed when I arrived and saw how perfectly everything was set up in the backyard. It rained a little in the morning, then cleared up all day … and STAYED clear for their entire party, although we could see the giant rain clouds moving closer!! It was so beautiful (and cool out!) Just up until the very end when it started to drizzle … and Nancy shouted “Well, it’s a shower people, you’re going to get a little wet!”
When Nancy first reached out asking me to photograph her baby shower, I originally had minis planned for that Saturday … but decided to move the minis to another day! And it couldn’t have worked out so perfectly. My family sent me a video from Gilbert that looked like hurricane level storms (that may be a tad dramatic, but you get the point). So glad it all played out the way it did … no strom for the party and dry mini session at Downtown Gilbert the next weekend!
Bardeau’s mom hosted the baby shower and she did so amazing!! Every detail was just perfect! From the floral centerpieces, the beautiful blue floral pattern all over, the candles, clouds, even the kids table was amazing, all the way to the dinner spread from Postinios! Such a beautiful event! She even made a golf cart & golf bag with clubs out of diapers—so impressive!!
Everyone had a great time … even the kids!! It was so fun watching them run around & hunt for teddy bears and collect pacifiers they made sure that no one was saying the “B” Word … “Baby!”
Definitely an evening to remember! Little Baby Shearer is already so so loved!! It was truly an honor to capture Nancy & Bardeau’s Garden Party Baby Shower! I hope you enjoy scrolling through all their beautiful photos!
