“When do we ever need to worry about rain in Arizona?!” That was Grace’s and my email the week before her session. Grace’s ASU Senior photos session is going down in the books as one of the most memorable senior shoots I’ve ever had.
It rained all week leading up to her session.
I was so excited about meeting Grace for her ASU senior photos and it was obvious she was equally excited about them too. It rained all week leading up to her session. But with her graduation coming up on December 17th, she needed these photos taken and grad cards sent out right away … so rescheduling wasn’t much of an option. So we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best!
The Day of Grace’s ASU Senior Photos
The morning of her session it was cold & rainy. I packed my clear umbrella and as we started driving it started POURING!! We were walking through ASU bundled in layers and rain jackets.
BUT we could see a bit of blue skies peeking out! And just in time for her session the rain stopped and the clouds started to part!! We ended up getting to photograph her entire session with no rain and we captured so many beautiful photos!! Grace’s calm personality & optimism was so good for such an unpredictable situation!!
We captured some gorgeous photos of Grace … and that is a true testament to her willingness to roll with it & sit in the occasional puddle (seriously a trooper!) And the power of professionally done hair which withstood the elements!!
So excited for her and her upcoming graduation!! Grace is majoring in journalism and mass communication with a minor in digital marketing, focusing primarily on social media marketing and PR … I can’t wait to see where that takes her in the next few years!!
