It’s been a long time since I’ve done a travel blog! And it’s so good to be back and sharing about our Yellowstone RV Trip!

Planning Our Yellowstone Trip
My dad has been planning this trip for us for well over a year! Unlike other National Parks, Yellowstone is a really tricky one to plan for given that it is the biggest National Park in America and all the campgrounds, inns, and lodges book out over a year in advance … to the day! Let’s just say there was more than one alarm set to book everything! And he knocked it out of the park with this one!
We camped out at Madison Campground for a few days, stayed at the Old Faithful Inn for 3 days (which is as charming as it sounds!), and then we camped at Fishing Bridge for the last leg of the trip. Absolutely gushing over each spot! The thing that my mind could not get around was just how much variety there is in the park … just driving through it was wild. We would be up in the snowy mountains one minute, driving past a lake the next, wide open flat land, rolling green hills, canyons, and geysers. Even in each hike we did, we would get a glimpse of it all! So wild!
The Wildlife We Saw
We went at the end of May/beginning of June, which is early in the season. A whole bunch of trails were closed because there was so much wildlife, specifically moms with their young which meant we were able to see so much wildlife on this trip! We saw beavers, lots of elk, tons of bison, a mama moose with her baby, TEN bears, and a red fox! So special!
The last time we all piled in an RV was for our trip to Glacier National Park … where we had our run in with a grizzly bear. (You can read about that story HERE.) And we loved it so much, we were so excited to take an RV again this time up to Yellowstone. Let me tell you, it may just be my favorite way to travel … movies in the back, full beds, fridge, and a bathroom! But nothing beats dinner under the pines, frisbee, campfires, seeing so many stars in the sky, and slow coffee chats outside on a cool summer morning.
And while I was in charge of all things photos, Caitee did all things video! Let’s just say our trip is *fully* captured! Enjoy this little Yellowstone 2025 Recap video from Caitee:
And then on the way home we, of course, had to stop at Grand Teton. And it was absolutely spectacular! We went white water rafting & horseback riding with the most amazing views!!
It’s a little crazy to already be on the other side of this trip, since we’ve been talking about it for so long! But I’m so excited to be sharing a few photos! I hope you enjoy scrolling through them all!
