I’m extra fun with caffeine.

Sundays with family are my happiest days.

My perfect morning consists of an early morning sunrise, coffee, and quiet time with Jesus.

I could binge on chocolate, cookies, and “The Office” all night long.

Grease and Mamma Mia are my jam.

My ideal night is sitting around the fire pit and pool with my girlfriends.

My favorite trip has been to the Big Island, Hawaii, but my dream trip is Copenhagen, Denmark.

I want to say I love living out in the country, but I really enjoy picking up a latte at the Starbucks on every corner.

Spring Arizona Desert Mini Sessions

The desert is absolutely showing off right now and I can’t get enough of it!! Spring in Arizona will always be a favorite of mine… there’s something about seeing the desert so lush and vibrant, with all the glowing light—it just feels so full of life. And I love it! These Spring Arizona desert mini sessions were a dream!

We’re kicking off a brand-new blog series… the 2026 Mini Session Series! It’s going to be hard to top the 2025 Mini Session series … but oh boy, we are starting strong! These Spring Arizona Desert Mini Sessions were an absolute dream. Between working with the kindest families and capturing the desert at its very best, I still pinch myself that this is what I get to call “work.”

While Caitee and I were standing out there between sessions, I turned to her and said, “Can you believe this? What a gift—that for work, we get to sit in the middle of the desert and soak in the quiet on a Saturday afternoon.”

And truly—that’s what these sessions felt like. Just so peaceful!

Caitee and I arrived early and just sat for a while, enjoying the stillness and watching the light slowly shift and become softer & glowier. I was able to spend time chatting with each family, *all* of the kiddos did so well, and we left just as in awe of the lush desert landscape as when we first arrived.

Not only that, but each session was genuinely so special in its own way:

The Cortes | Spring Arizona Desert Mini Sessions

Angela & Chris have the most darling family. Little Soren is 3 years old and Corbin is 16 months. You never quite know what to expect with two little boys, so I came prepared with my A-game. But oh my goodness, they were incredible!

Soren smiled for photos, gave Corbin hugs along the way, and was such a proud big brother. And Corbin? He wanted to do everything Soren was doing. It was so sweet to watch and a joy to capture their little dynamic!

The Wohlhuter Family | Spring Arizona Desert Mini Sessions

The Wohlhuters just moved to Arizona this past summer, and these photos were the perfect way to document this new season of life!

I loved getting to chat with Suzanne & Charlie—and little Vivian absolutely stole the show! She is *the sweetest* 6-year-old. We were fast friends immediately. She loved jumping into photos and even came with her own posing ideas. We didn’t want to stop!! We were laughing that next time we may need to plan a little bonus session just for her … which would really be such a treat!

Brielle’s Senior Photos

Brielle was visiting from Minnesota. Each February, her family comes to visit their grandparents who snowbird in Fountain Hills. At the last minute, they decided it would be fun to capture a few senior photos while she was here … and the timing couldn’t have worked out more perfectly!

It was such a joy getting to know Brielle and her mom better. I so enjoyed getting to spend time with them, and the session felt effortless and so much fun from start to finish.

It’s hard to believe these photos were taken just 20 minutes off the main road in Gilbert, Arizona. It looks like somewhere you’d have to travel far and wide to find—with the grandeur of the trees, open fields, lush desert, and towering cacti … The desert really comes alive in a way that is so breathtaking!

Enjoy scrolling through these Spring Arizona desert mini sessions.
