I’m going to let you in on one of our oldest inside jokes. Emma and I have known each other for our entire lives. When I was around 7 years old, I was in a youth group with the church. The group would meet every Wednesday night, but at the end of the summer we would all get together and go to a movie. Emma had spent the night before with me, so we invited her to the movie. I remember sitting with the group, while my mom went to go get the tickets. And the group leader asked us, “So, how do you two know each other?” Seems like a pretty normal question and an easy one to answer… but we just stared at each other with blank faces. The group leader went on to then give suggestions… “School? Neighbors? The park? Randomly met each other off the street?” To this day, I still don’t think we are totally sure of how we know each other… our parents were friends long before we were born… I think.
Emma, I think we have the best relationship! Now that we are all grown up and our schedules do not always line up, it could be easy to question where we stand with our friendship. However, one quick text or seeing each other for the first time after a year has passed, it is as if we saw each other yesterday. Talk about friend goals!
