This family has such a special place in my heart! I find that I leave sessions like the Jette’s just so full of joy! Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met another family with so much love as the Jette’s!!
This was my THRID year taking their family photos and what an honor!! It is so sweet to watch their family grow over the years! Gallen, their little boy, was only 1 when we met! And at the Jette’s Morrison Ranch Session last year, I found out she was pregnant again! So this year, I got to finally meet Baby Gabbryela, who was born earlier this year! And she couldn’t be any sweeter!
Gallen is maybe one of the happiest little boys you’ll meet! He is always smiling, nonstop laughing, playing, running, and obsessed with trucks!
Marc and Heather are deaf; however, both of their children are hearing. And it has got to be one of the cutest things in the world to watch little, 3-year-old Gallen sign. His fingers are so tiny and chubby and the signs are so sweet and sloppy! It’s seriously too cute!
I looked over while taking pictures of Marc and Gabbryela and saw Gallen just sitting on his mom’s lap, going over colors in sign. He would sign it while speaking softly. “That tractor’s red. And that one is orange.” It’s small moments like those, where for just a minute I can step into another family’s world and capture it, that feel so treasured!
If you are wondering if I speak ASL, I don’t. But the Jette’s are so patient with me and my poor sign language, I realized I am at the same level as Gallen when it comes to knowing ASL (if not less, lol), but we make it work!
What I find to be the most intriguing thing about the Jette’s, is that even despite the language barrier, they still are able to showcase God’s love. Their family is so grateful to God for everything! And when you sit and hear about their hard story over the past few months, with Heather’s cancer recovery, having Gabbryela in the NICU for months, and Marc losing his Job at the same time, he doesn’t complain! He’s content and grateful and knows the Lord is still good and faithful!
I’m always blown away by the Jette’s outlook on life and how good they are at simply loving others really well! I’m glad to report, that Heather and Gabbryela are healthy and well and Marc has a new good job!
Marc and Heather have the sweetest little family of FOUR now and I’m just so happy we were able to capture this precious season of life for them!
