Meet Kaitlyn & Josh! The sweetest couple that I’ve had the opportunity to meet and capture this special season of their life. Their session was such a breeze and spent talking all things wedding plans, moving to Texas, and all about their engagement! I enjoyed it so much!
They flew in from Texas to do all their wedding planning this week… scout the venue and meet with all the vendors to confirm the last few details. And, I am so glad that while they were in town, it worked out perfectly to have their Engagement Session at Morrison Ranch this week too. And, I was even happier that the monsoon winds and rain held off during their session!
The two of them met years ago at Paradise Bakery and then started dating not long after when they both worked at Cleanfreak Car Wash. They have been dating for 6 years now! They moved out to Texas for work and bought a home together in April, 2020. During our session, they were telling me all about the adjustment period of getting used to a new city and all the ups and downs that come with it.
Josh proposed on the Fourth of July in 2020. She was telling me that her one request was that he kept it a surprise and that she didn’t know anything. And he did!! They went ring shopping together once (where without knowing it she picked out her own ring). He went back later and bought the exact one and had it sent to his parents’ house.
In 2020, they had spent the Fourth of July in Arizona. The two of them went up to south mountain to light off fireworks. They had set up all the fireworks and just before they lit them, Josh bent down on one knee and proposed. She was so surprised! She said, “Yes!” and then, they lit the fireworks!! The next day, Josh had put together a “Fourth of July” party with all of their friends and family, and surprised Kaitlyn with an engagement party! So sweet!
I so enjoyed getting to know Kaitlyn & Josh more at their Engagement Session at Morrison Ranch! And after talking to them about their wedding plans, I can hardly wait to capture their wedding in December!! I know it will be beautiful!
