This session is such a special one for me… It’s my Grandparent’s photos!
When I was little, I used to love visiting my grandparents’ house and looking through all my grandma’s old photographs. I would sit in front of the side board looking at all the special moments of her life framed. Seeing the photos of my grandma in her wedding dress and the two of them just married and cutting the cake, made my little heart flutter.
I would flip through her old photo albums that were sitting on the self, that were left in her guest room waiting for me.
It made me so happy to look back at the photos of my dad meeting my mom for the first time. I could look back in time at the two of them falling in love and getting married. And the photos of them traveling the world together… It didn’t matter where they were as long as they were together their smiles would beam with joy!
Every photo had a special story behind it! I completely fell in love with the love story of my parents and grandparents through these sweet photos!
I was able to watch how my parents faces would light up as they look back on theses photos. It stunned me how a photograph can remind you of how you felt in that season and bring back those same emotions. I knew that was something I wanted to be able to gift people with.
And now, I love being able to share the love story of other sweet couples, who are in such a special season of life with just the two of them!
My grandparents have been married for 55 years now. Their story is full of bright mountain top moments and challenging valleys. They have experienced some of the greatest joys in life and some heartbreaking sorrows.
I’m so grateful for the life they have lived and the beautiful, powerful legacy of love that they are leaving! It was such an honor that I was able to continue sharing their ‘visual’ love story at this session for them.
My grandparent’s photos are photos I (and someday my future children & and grandchildren) will treasure forever!
Bethie…What an experience it was for us to have you do our photos…it was a pleasure to watch you work. The pictures are beautiful – the memories are priceless! We love you . Grandmother and Grandpa
