Let’s just say Nylo’s 1st Birthday was out of this world!! It was such a treat to get to photograph his First Trip Around the Sun Birthday Party!!
The Cole Family is one of my favorites!! You may remember I took photos of their baby shower when Caylah was pregnant with Nylo a little over a year ago! You can see those photos HERE. And you can CLICK HERE to see the photos from when they joined me for the Coons Bluff Minis in the fall. When she emailed me asking if I could come and photograph his 1st birthday party, I was stunned … “How has it already been a year?! He grew so quickly!”
And let me tell you, he is absolutely precious and his cute little personality is starting to shine! He loved playing with the balloons and the balls and the way he would look up and smile at Mom and Dad was just the cutest! The 3 of them are such a sweet family and you can see how loved that sweet little boy is! It really is so special getting to watch so many sweet kids grow and photograph it season after season.
About Nylo’s First Trip Around the Sun Birthday Party
And just like their baby shower, everything was perfect!! She sent me the mood board for Nylo’s First Trip Around the Sun Birthday Party and I was so excited! I’m telling you, Caylah doesn’t miss a beat and I love it! Even the coloring pages were done so perfectly … little Astoronaut Nylo! I LOVE it! You’re going to need to make sure you have the red crayon handy for his curly little locks! It was TOO cute!
She said to think “causal BBQ on the lawn” and it was perfect … good music, good food, darling decorations, a perfect day, kids playing in the soft play area … just easy and fun! Truly everything you would want for a 1st birthday! Especially with their family and friends—You really don’t need much to have a good time, when they are around!
I loved getting to see them all again … I really felt like I have been drafted in as one of them when Caylah’s mom came up and gave me a big hug and Javon’s mom shouted from across the soft play ground … “I’m so glad you are always here photographing our family!” We were laughing; they were so glad to have a photographer on standby! Everyone wanted a photo with their grandbaby, cousin, nephew, … it is so evident how loved Caylah, Javon and Nylo are! It’s always so special to get to be part of the fun and capture such sweet moments for the sweetest families.
One of My Favorite Moments from Nylo’s Birthday:
One of my favorite moments of the whole party was watching Nylo dig into his smash cake. Caylah’s mom made him the best little cake … she said it’s baby food in the shape of a cake! (Plus she made the big cake, which was so amazing!) And after Dad helped him get started, he went to town on it. But I wish you could hear all the commentary behind the photos! This really is such a fun-loving crowd and never a dull moment! Everyone was loving it and having so much fun!
