Wes & Sarah welcomed little Ava, their second little girl, into the world on January 14th!! And it was so wonderful to get to photograph Ava’s Scottsdale newborn photos!
My Favorite Thing About Lifestyle Newborn Photos
There is something special about in-home sessions! I think it is the realness of it, that I love most. It’s not perfectly staged or posed … it’s playful & candid. It is what life actually looks like for you in this season & the goal is to capture that as much as possible. Because this season with a newborn & a three- year-old will go by so quickly!
And lifestyle newborn photos are so fun to capture … especially with kids! It is so natural for them to snuggle up on the couch with mom or quickly run and dress up their outfit and add even more flair with leggings & sparkly heels. And after talking with Sarah, these photos would not be complete if Charlotte wasn’t wearing pink & sparkles! I just love it!
About Ava’s Newborn Session (& Charlotte … the best big sister!)
Charlotte is three-years-old and the sweetest little girl!! She is just darling with her bright blue eyes and curly blond hair. And she is such a good big sister! She was so excited for her turn to take a picture holding Ava. The whole session she would run over and help take care of her, rub her head, and give Ava kisses. It was the sweetest thing to watch.
Plus, she & I were fast friends! From her helping me photograph Ava’s nursery with her toy camera, to counting her graham crackers … she even ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug after taking photos! Best part of the job!
Ava came two weeks early, she is just so tiny and so precious! It was just the sweetest thing getting to photograph her itty bitty toes & fingers as Sarah quietly rocked her! They have photos of Charlotte as a newborn framed around their home and oh my goodness they look so similar!
It’s always such a joy and an honor to be welcomed into the sweetest family’s homes and get to be a part of their world for a few minutes and capture it all. Sarah & Wes have the sweetest little family & such a cozy home and I loved getting to capture a small glimpse at what life looks like for them these days as they are now a family of FOUR!
