Wow! I’m so excited to be sharing The Obenshain’s Downtown Gilbert Family Photos 2026 on the blog today! This is a strong kick off to the fall family photos season!!
The Obenshain family is one of my favorites! I took their photos last year and I just LOVED getting to know their sweet family! The thing about these minis is they give us reason to spend a quick 20 minutes catching up with these families! We really did spend the whole time laughing … their session flew by! Emily & Nate are such fun and easy people to spend time with!
Nora is 6 years old and Henry is 4 now … and I just LOVE how close they are! Emily was telling me how they are in the same class! Wow! They go to school a few days a week and homeschool the other days. So, they really are best friends! And you can see it so clearly … Nora is such a good big sister and you can tell they have so much fun together! I love it!
You can see their photos from Morrison Ranch last year HERE. We were saying how great it is with these mini sessions, that because they are so easy you can really play around with the style of your photos. Emily was saying how fun it was to play with the relaxed urban feel and go with tennies and shorts for such a different look than they normally go for!
And it’s always such a blast taking Downtown Gilbert family photos! It really feels like a fun way to kick off family night! Everyone gets all dressed up, stops by for 20 minutes for quick family photos, even played under the Gilbert water tower for a few photos and then just like that you’re off to dinner and ice cream! Everyone leaves having fun!
It really is perfect because this is how their family looks and acts (and what they actually wear!) in this season, and that makes the photos all the more genuine and special. And that really is the whole goal of these photos: to capture *who* their family is in this season of life!
