I am so excited to share The Fischer’s Morrison Ranch Family Pictures! Such a fun session with the sweetest family & girls!
I met Stefany, Sage, & Sofie at the BGP Motherhood Event & she booked her fall photos with me there. We met briefly then, but I was so excited to get to know them even more during their session!
Sage is 5 years old and loved taking photos! From the minute they arrived, she was so willing to hop in any photos. She even came with her own set of posing ideas and prompts! It was a breeze for me & everything she did was so cute! Made my job extra fun!
And Sofie is 1 ½ years old and just as happy and smiley as Sage! She loved being in someone’s arms at all times – so snuggly and sweet! And she did just as good taking photos (and smiling! Which is a bonus!) But Sage was great at helping get her to smile and laugh too! You can so easily tell that Sage is such a good big sister to Sofie and such a huge help for her mom!
We took their photos at Morrison Ranch, it was a perfect day! They just scalp the grass since the last time I was shooting there at the Sanchez’s session. And the scalped grass with the glowy light peeking through the trees and their fall sweaters made it look like a perfect fall session! (As Fall as Gilbert, Arizona gets … but I’ll take it!)
Since it was a full session, we were able to take our time and slowly move from one spot to the next … we even made our way down towards the silos for some cool photos! This is fun because we got a couple of different looks: grass, trees, & white picket fences, the water & duck pond, and also silos and farm style!
The nice thing about having a longer session too, is that we were able to play it by ear with how the girls were feeling. We started the session strong since they were both in such a great mood and so willing for photos … so we hit the ground running! Towards the middle of the session, we gave the girls a little break and they played at the duck pond and ran around the grass and trees. And then we were able to snap a few more posed photos over by the silos at the end.
My favorite part of the session had to be at the end when Sage & I were chatting! We talked about just about everything … how it was her turn with the Snackole box this week, her cousins, alligator puppets, and how everyone was a baby at one time – shocking! — and how she shares a birthday with my new little niece!

Come behind the scenes with me to capture these photos! Here are the 3 biggest challenges we had going into their session:
- Two little girls – I only met once. They did amazing at the BGP Motherhood Event, but you just never know how warmed up to me they will be and if they are in the mood for photos today!
- Since they all arrived at the session in a great mood, I wanted to run with that and get as much down right away, because you just never know how long everyone will hold up.
- Morrison ranch was busy, trying to keep other families and photographers out of the shot.
