“Where did those clouds come from?!” I shouted to Olivia from across the park! Less than an hour before their session it was warm, clear skies, not windy … perfect weather! But the clouds and wind continued to pick and more and more the closer we got to their session. By the time we started taking photos it was dark, cloudy, & windy, and by the time we left it was pouring rain and we were racing to find cover!! Talk about crazy weather! I’m so glad we both arrived early and were able to start a few minutes earlier! Because even with the surprising turn of events with the weather, we still captured SO MANY sweet ones from the Sanchez’s Morrison Ranch Family Session!
This was my 4th time taking the Sanchez’s family photos. So crazy to think that I’ve been taking their family photos since before Leo was even born! It’s always one of my favorite things to watch a family grow year after year! And the Sanchez family is by far one of my favorites!

And now Morrison Ranch! Olivia chose Morrison Ranch, because Jose’s parents joined us for this session (so fun to get to meet more of their family!). And Morrison Ranch is such an accessible location … it’s such a great option for littles & those who may need a location with less walking. And the boys loved playing at the park and looking at all the ducks in the pond. Isaac loved crawling under the fence & Leo found a pretty good-sized stick that stuck with him throughout the whole session! Plus, it’s an absolutely beautiful spot for photos!
You may remember that we took our family photos this year at Morrison Ranch too! And Olivia is also a photographer, so we swapped sessions again this year! We were laughing because for our session, we showed up with our little Ryobi fans and extra water bottles … doing anything we could to stay cool in 106-degree weather. And just a few weeks later in the same spot, I was wearing TWO jackets … and we should have brought hot hands and umbrellas! Ahh Arizona, crazy what a few weeks can do!
