I can hardly believe that this is the last blog in my unofficial series of 2025 Mini session days! So excited to be sharing November’s Morrison Ranch Minis!
The Story of BGP’s 2025 Mini Sessions
How it Started:
In January this year, after a handful of coffee chats with some of the sweetest BGP moms, survey responses, and LOTS of inquiries, it was clear that moms need a way to be able to capture family photos quickly and without any stress … in beautiful unique locations. Something that could be available all throughout the year …
That’s when I decided to try and host a mini session day each month. Each month would be a new location and it would be so easy for moms to book & plan that they could come to as many as they would like throughout the year —that was the vision!
Honestly, I thought maybe it would bless 1 or 2 moms and I was certain some months would be missed.
But I got to work organizing all the dates, it started old-school, simple, family-style with a little email to my list saying here are the dates, pencil them in if you are interested. I set the booking system up to be streamlined and popped up a little booking page with all the dates, location, and info all tidy.
How It’s Going:
Oh my goodness, January Bethie had NO CLUE what the Lord had in store for 2025!! Bookings came in faster than I could have imagined!! And I left every session saying, “That was the sweetest family! I’m so grateful our paths crossed!” Names on my calendar changed from bookings to friends in just 20 minutes!
I filled up all my original planned mini session dates … (even had requests for Summer mini session days!) I continued adding more and more dates, until I seriously couldn’t find any more time in my calendar.
And now here I am closing up the year with close to *THIRTY* family sessions in ONE MONTH!! So many times I’ve pinched myself … I can’t believe this is my reality!

About November’s Morrison Ranch Minis
And oh boy, did we go out with a bang! These Morrison Ranch minis are by far my most popular and most requested session!! They are a crowd favorite among the BG Moms and I love it!
Highlight moments from these minis:
- Hearing the sweetest little boy tell me how much he loved the sound of the shutter click
- Watching a 2-year-old light up and ask to see every single photo right after I took it
- Capturing not one, but two surprise pregnancy announcements—even the kids didn’t know yet! (Those photos are staying tucked away until the news is out!)
- Watching big brothers be so helpful and gentle with their little sisters
- Watching kids who haven’t quite figured out their “camera smile” yet—so what you get is this earnest, crooked little grin that’s trying so hard (and melts me every time)
- Photographing lots of very well-loved teddy bears and stuffed animals—this year’s unofficial theme, and I loved every bit of it
- Catching so many giggles I wish we could bottle up, and hugs and kisses that seriously melted my heart
- Seeing so many GOOD kids show up with kindness, gentleness, and patience. Seriously, a total reflection of their parents. I know photos aren’t always a favorite weekend activity, but these kiddos were more than good sports—they were a joy to work with.
Safe to say, I couldn’t be more excited to be sharing their photos on the blog! I seriously was gushing while editing every gallery. It’s one thing to have a good photo … but it the memory behind it that makes it so special! And these really do have the sweetest stories behind them.
