Over the years of shooting weddings, I feel like I can honestly say that I haven’t seen one run as smoothly as Paige & Julio’s Gathering Estate wedding! Between the perfect weather, the beautiful vows, the gorgeous ceremony & reception, and staying ahead on the timeline (!!)… it was seriously a dream!
It was a joy to second shoot for Olivia Sanchez again this time for Paige & Julio’s wedding. I met Paige & Julio back in December when Olivia was planning on helping me shoot Kaitlyn & Josh’s wedding. She texted me a few days before their engagement sessions saying she hurt her rib pretty bad and could hardly move, so I offered to go with her to Paige & Julio’s session to carry bags and be an extra pair of hands for Olivia.
It was so nice getting to meet the two of them! Paige & Julio are one of the sweetest couples! They met at GCU. They had a class together before Julio switched his major and the two of them hit it off! And their engagement session was just as amazing as their wedding!
Like I mentioned earlier, their wedding was at The Gathering Estate in Mesa, Arizona. They had a ceremony/reception flip, which means their ceremony and reception were in the same location and they flip it during cocktail hour. And let me tell you, this was the smoothest flip I’ve ever seen! We took the bridal party photos and turned around and the ceremony was cleared and the dance floor and tables were all set up and ready to go!
I think one of my favorite parts of the day was after Paige was ready in her wedding dress, she had the sweetest first look with her dad. I asked her while she was putting her earrings and doing the final touches, if she thought her and her dad would be emotional, she said they probably wouldn’t be… but the minute he saw her he couldn’t help but get emotional that his baby girl was getting married! We couldn’t help but laugh because I know that is how my dad and I will be someday!
