I’m extra fun with caffeine.

Sundays with family are my happiest days.

My perfect morning consists of an early morning sunrise, coffee, and quiet time with Jesus.

I could binge on chocolate, cookies, and “The Office” all night long.

Grease and Mamma Mia are my jam.

My ideal night is sitting around the fire pit and pool with my girlfriends.

My favorite trip has been to the Big Island, Hawaii, but my dream trip is Copenhagen, Denmark.

I want to say I love living out in the country, but I really enjoy picking up a latte at the Starbucks on every corner.

Emily & James’ Renaissance Downtown Phoenix Hotel Wedding Day

Oh friends, I am so excited to share Emily & James’ Renaissance Downtown Phoenix Hotel wedding with you!

Emily and James were high school sweethearts! They met in junior high and started dating their senior year of high school. They said they have been together for 12 years! It was so neat talking with their bridal party, so many of them they had met Emily & James in junior high too and watch their relationship from the start! How special for them to be surrounded by friends with such long lasting friendships.

James proposed to Emily at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. James said they had a friend who is a photographer and he had her come and surprised Emily by capturing the whole proposal and then some engagement photos too.

Their wedding was on the rooftop at the Renaissance Downtwon Phoenix Hotel, right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix! Their ceremony and reception space was surrounded by skyscrapers (It was the cutest thing, when a pair of little kids in the building next to us were watching the ceremony through their window a few floors up). And the sounds of the light rail and traffic from down on the streets brought some much-welcomed laughter to break the tension during the private vows and ceremony. It was such an amazing atmosphere for the night!

Emily & James decided to share a first look and have some time for their own private vows. It was so sweet and intimate just the two of them on the balcony of the Renaissance Downtown Phoenix Hotel. And they had written the sweetest vows to each other. Afterwards, they both said just how relieved and glad they were to have decided to do the first look! And from the photographer’s view it was amazing too, because we were able to take so many portraits of the two of them and finish all the bridal party and family formals photos before the ceremony. And the best part… Emily and James were able to spend 45 minutes at cocktail hour after their ‘Just Married Sunset Portraits’!! Seriously, the whole day was a dream with how easily it played out!

I hope you enjoy scrolling though Emily & James’ Renaissance Downtown Phoenix Hotel wedding day! It was such an honor capturing their big day and getting to work alongside Olivia Sanchez again, while second shooting for Pinkerton Photo Associates.
