James & Irma’s Royal Palms Scottsdale Wedding was absolutely beautiful! I said it before and I’ll say it again… I’m a sucker for the Spring Arizona weddings! Everything from the weather to the florals was perfect, even Camelback Mountain seemed to show off a little extra!
James and Irma’s wedding was so sweet because it wasn’t just the joining of two beautiful people, it was the blending of two beautiful families ––including their children: Irma’s daughter and two sons and James’ daughter and two sons.
I second shot their wedding for Amanda Loew Photography, so I had the privilege to work primarily with James’ family before the ceremony. I just love how close, both of their families are, it made for a very enjoyable day. It was so refreshing watching how supportive and encouraging they all were to each other. Not only that, but they didn’t take themselves too seriously – we spent most of the time before the ceremony laughing.
James was laughing before the ceremony and telling me about how they just didn’t care too much about all the cutesty wedding events that are trending right now. It’s neat because while they did want photos of the details and all the pretty things, they cared more about the people actually attending the wedding. It was a nice change of pace compared to all the other weddings I photographed, knowing that their main priority was first and foremost spending time with their guests. And they truly valued those photos over anything else.
I really love shooting at The Royal Palm Resort & Spa. I love the Tuscany feel; everything is so elegant. While the Royal Palms can host multiple weddings on the same day—as was the case with James & Irma’s wedding—it’s nice because there are so many little hidden spots, corners, and sections that everything felt very private. We didn’t even realize all the other events taking place! Plus, there are so many beautiful places for photographs all around the venue and everything was so nice and close. I really enjoyed shooting there.
Everything about James & Irma’s Royal Palms Scottsdale Wedding was so beautiful and focused primarily on celebrating with the people closest to them and just enjoying their company! It was an honor to help photograph it alongside Amanda Loew! Enjoy scrolling through their wedding day from my perspective!
