Astha’s Dreamy Morrison Ranch Session

Astha reached out to me about photos for her 18^th birthday and quickly grabbed one of my last mini session slots in Morrison Ranch. And let me tell you how fun her session was!! 

From the minute she walked up in her gorgeous traditional lehenga we were nonstop chatting! This lehenga was absolutely beautiful! It represents royalty and grace… which, I think perfectly represents Astha and her personality! And she said it was hand-detailed and took about 2 and half months to put together. It glimmered and sparkled in the light and swayed as she walked! A DREAM to photograph!

Astha was telling me all about how turning 18 is a BIG celebration in India’s culture. And I had no idea… the more she told me the more I was stunned!

She said there are 100 people attending her party and she wants the photos to be displayed all around. Her friends are surprising her with a dance and then they are performing an 18 candle ritual, where she will light 18 candles, each one with someone special to her. 

But then she went on to share the best part of the night, her parents are gifting her with a cake from her favorite show, Cake Boss! Like THE Cake Boss! I remember LOVING that show so much! The pressure, stress, last minute, oh no the cake is melting and it won’t, it won’t fit through the door. 

She was saying her cake is two-tiered and will have 18 little items that represent each year of her life, like a little blanket that she carried with her everywhere when she was little. It sounds like it will be so beautiful!

I just loved working with Astha! She is by far one of the sweetest girls, so kind, and confident. She holds herself so well; the words royalty and grace could not be more fitting for her! She is an absolute joy to be around! Enjoy scrolling through all of her gorgeous photos from Morrison Ranch!
