I am so excited to be sharing Rachel & Michael’s wedding at the Barn at Power Ranch! Their wedding was so perfect in every way! But more than all the details, it was the love between them and with all their friends and family that made their wedding extra special!!

When Rachel had originally reached out and shared their plans for their big day, it sounded like my dream wedding … less than 25 guests, a nice ceremony, beautiful photos, and dinner with all their friends and family. There is something about the small weddings that I just love! I think it’s the simplicity of it … no stress, just lots of time. Time to really enjoy your wedding day and have lots of time with friends, family, and just the two of you. No rush, just a day to celebrate your marriage!
Their First Look
And that was exactly how Rachel & Michael’s wedding day played out! Rachel & Michael arrived before all their guests and shared the sweetest first look … I’m not sure either of them even had wedding day jitters before the first look. They both have very easy going personalities! If they did, they really stayed calm, cool, and collected the whole time. And after the first look, we had SO much time for portraits of just the two of them!! It was so wonderful! The corner of The Barn at Power Ranch and the light coming through the trees, made these portraits a dream!!
There is no better feeling on a wedding day for a photographer than knowing that if for some reason you don’t get another chance at romantic portraits the rest of the day, you are fine! Not only did we have that, but we also were so ahead of schedule … the day was a breeze!! Which meant they were able to spend so much more time with their friends and family!
The Best Part of Rachel & Michael’s Wedding at The Barn At Power Ranch
It was so special getting to watch Rachel stand outside the Barn at Power Ranch and greet everyone!! She is seriously the sweetest!! She was so excited and grateful they made it and would tear up as she gave everyone the biggest hugs! I remember taking the photos and thinking “I love how boldly she loves others and makes sure they know it!”
And while they are not featured in these photos, Michael has two of the sweetest kiddos (ages 5 & 6) I’ve ever met!! It is one thing to photograph a marriage, it’s even more special to witness a family coming together! I was chatting with them about Rachel and they are so excited to have her as a “bonus” mom! When they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time, it was as though they saw a real life princess! And then they burst into “A dream is a wish your heart makes” … couldn’t be more fitting! 🎶
Not only that, but they were the biggest helpers through the whole day … fluffing her train, always ready with the bouquet, helped set up chairs, they even helped me keep track of the shot list for the family formals! Seriously, it made my job so easy!!
I’m always so grateful to get to work with the sweetest couples & families! I hope you enjoy scrolling though Rachel & Michael’s wedding at the Barn at Power Ranch!!
