I remember it so clearly. I was sitting upstairs in my room at my little, white desk, that sat in front of a window, overlooking this big, beautiful, orange tree. It was early in the morning. I could see the rays of sunlight shine through the leaves into my room. The window was open. The birds were quietly singing. I sipped my warm coffee. I bowed my head quietly in prayer and said, “God, what do you want me to do with this photography thing?” And the answer could not have been more clear. “Use it to show me, capture my creation, and share the moments that are full of life and joy.” And that is why I became a photographer.
I cannot believe where God has led me since I prayed that prayer. This “photography thing” has turned into something so much greater. Whether I am photographing your sweet family or your graduating senior, or doing a session to celebrate a special moment in your life, like your wedding anniversary, or pregnancy, I am honored to capture these special moments in your life that only happen once! To be able to show families how good they look together as a whole. To be able to take a photo that captures all the joy you felt in that moment, and to show God’s love through it all is a gift! I cannot even begin to tell you the joy I have when I think about what I get to do! That’s my why for becoming a photographer. Why I love working with people and hearing their stories.
