I am very excited to be sharing Johnson’s extended family photos at Morrison Ranch! I enjoyed their session so much. Just listening to all the ways Diane and Steve have worked to build such a close family, was wonderful! It’s amazing to be able to see the reality of how much their family loves being together in just their quick session but also to cast a vision for my own family someday!
I have worked with the Johnson’s for a couple years now, I took Caden’s senior photos and Addi’s senior photos! So, it was such an honor when they reached for photos with the whole family!!
Diane & Steve are celebrating their 50th anniversary this month!! Wow! I couldn’t think of a better way to gift them than with photos of everyone all together! Amanda was telling me that the last time they all took pictures together was over 10 years ago… not even all the kids were born!
When I asked Steve what the secret to a good marriage is, he pulled his wife in close and smiled at me, and said two things: 1. Stay close to the Lord and center your entire marriage and life around Him. 2. Marry your best friend. He looked at her and said, “I just love being with her all the time we have a lot of fun together!”
And honestly, just in the little bit of time that I got to spend with them while taking their family photos at Morrison Ranch, you can see they really do have fun together! While I was working with the smaller groups, it was like a family party behind me. Everyone was laughing, they brought lawn chairs, the boys were playing football, and the girls were all chatting and being little cheerleaders for the ones in front of the camera! I loved it! It’s fun seeing such a big family all get along so well and honestly love spending time with each other!
They were telling me all about how every Friday was “Grandma & Papa Night.” They said they would let all the kids run around outside like wild Indians; Grandma would make them dinner. She said with that many little kids running around it was just throwing hot dogs out to whoever wanted one, lol! It was something all the kids looked forward to and the parents loved having a guaranteed date night every Friday! Seriously so sweet! Steve said “It takes a lot of work to have this close of a family, you really have to fight for it! But it is so worth it!”
I am excited to be sharing these photos with you! How amazing to think of how legacy leaving these photos are! I just know they will be so treasured and cherished over the years. 50 years of marriage, 3 amazing girls, and 9 grandchildren who all love being together! The Lord has blessed them so much and it’s an honor to be able to capture this sweet season of their family for them!
